The Mako Robotic-Arm is a revolutionary surgical tool that is changing the way joint replacement surgery is performed. At Good Samaritan, we have two orthopedic surgeons who have been extensively trained on Mako-assisted surgical procedures. The Mako-Arm analyzes CT scans and creates 3D models of hips and knees. This allows our surgeons to design highly customized prosthetics which have prolonged lifespans and reduced risks of failed operation. The robotic arm moves more steadily and precisely than a human hand, but will be guided by a human hand.
